Heat - People with somatic disease in the warmest neighbourhoods (2020)
Description
This map shows what percentage of the group with a somatic disorder lives in the warmest neighborhoods of the province of Zuid-Holland. These hottest neighbourhoods are based on the 2020 Climate Impact Atlas, which shows the neighbourhoods that are at least two degrees warmer due to the urban heat island effect. The distribution of the group with a somatic disorder is an expected* number of people aged 19 years or older with one or more somatic disorders and a mobility restriction in an independent household.
Of these warmest neighbourhoods, this map shows the percentage of residents with a somatic condition living here. When efforts are made to take climate adaptive measures in these neighbourhoods, it is to be expected that these residents will have to be supported in taking climate adaptive measures, because they may not be physically able to do so themselves. When determining the stakes, it is good to take this into account in advance.
The neighborhoods in the province of South Holland where the temperature rises less than two degrees, and neighborhoods where less than 1% residents with a somatic condition live are not shown on this map.
