[DREAL Occitanie] Biotope Protection Orders
Description
Non-domestic and/or floristic non-domestic habitats protected under Articles L. 411-1 and L. 411-2 of the Environmental Code.
* Prevent the disappearance of protected species (non-domestic animal species or uncultivated plant species) by establishing conservation measures for the biotopes necessary for their feeding, reproduction, resting or survival. These biotopes may consist of ponds, swamps, marshes, hedges, groves, heaths, dunes, lawns or any other unmanaged natural formations.
* A biotope protection order may also prohibit any action that indistinctly affects the biological balance of the environment, including ecobudding, burning, grinding of plants, destruction of slopes and hedges, application of pest control products.
