During several flood phases between March and July 1999, 12 sites were sampled in the main river of Lower Lobau. The aim was to document the effect of a possible networking with the Danube during floods, as well as the effects of the current hydrological networking on the concentrations of nutrients and suspended matter within the flood waters.
