Description
Between 1953 and 1966, magnetic regional surveys with point distances between 200 and 500 m were carried out nationwide on the territory of today's Free State. In the 1980s, an aeromagnetic re-measurement of the base mountain units of the former GDR was carried out. The results of these images - interpolated to a square grid of 500 m point spacing - form the basis for the geomagnetic overview map of the Free State of Saxony.
