Description
Between 1953 and 1966, magnetic regional surveys with point spacing between 200-500 m were carried out across the territory of today’s Free State. In the 1980s, an aeromagnetic remeasurement of the basic mountain units of the former GDR took place. The results of these images — interpolated on a square grid of 500 m point spacing — form the basis for the geomagnetic overview map of the Free State of Saxony.
