Guaranteed minimum pension

Description

Information on the profile of pensioners with a minimum pension in the process of being paid into the scheme for employees and/or self-employed persons can be found on the scoreboard below. The figures refer to pensioners who received a statutory pension from the SFP in January 2023. The scoreboard below shows the average amount a pensioner with a minimum pension receives. These are the figures for January 2023. Minimum pension expenditure depends on the amount of the minimum pension and the number of pensioners eligible to receive a minimum pension. The average pension income of recipients of minimum pensions in the process of being paid increased by 32% between January 2019 and January 2023 (see graph above), and the number of people receiving minimum pensions increased by 38.5% over the same period.
