Description
The report provides an overview of the international state of research on the occurrence and detection of microplastics in the environment. Microplastics are now detected in all environmental media, in food and in the human body. Despite increasing data, the comparability of studies is limited, as sampling and analysis have not yet been standardized. The results should therefore be assessed in this context.
