Current ozone concentration in the Netherlands
Description
This map shows the calculated average concentration of ozone over the past hour. This information is updated every hour. Ozone is a gas resulting from a reaction between all kinds of air pollutants under the influence of sunlight. As a result, increased ozone levels actually occur only in spring and summer, because in the other seasons the solar influence is too low to produce ozone.
The values you see are based on calculations. The calculations are calibrated adhv measurements. The calculation method used is the RIO model for hourly background concentrations.
