Combination of existing master plans. Format: it’s a raster.
The master plan is a general plan that guides the city’s urban structure, land use and transport network. It reserves areas for housing, jobs, transport, nature conservation and recreation. The master plan is presented on the map, and it also includes the plan entries and regulations as well as a description of the plan.
Typical issues to be solved in the master plan include new main traffic routes, urban expansion directions and the location of special activities such as depots, waste treatment plants and similar activities causing environmental disturbance.
In most of Vantaa, a master plan approved by the City Council on 17 December 2007 has entered into force by public notices on 25 February 2009, 3 June 2009 and 13 January 2010. Part of West Airport has a part master plan for Marja Airport approved by the City Council on 19 June 2006, which entered into force on 9 July 2008. For a small part of Hakkila and Jokinieme, Vantaa’s master plan 1992, approved by the City Council on 14 September 1992, is in force.
