Description
Distorted and georeferenced digital aerial photographs from 1926 in TrueColor. From 1 July to 15 September 1926, an international exhibition on inland navigation and hydraulic engineering took place in the newly created exhibition halls. It was carried out on the occasion of the completion of the Kleinhüninger port facilities. One aim of this event was also to promote the navigability of the High Rhine. For this purpose, a 28 x 7 meter large aviator image was produced and presented in the exhibition, which covered the area of the Rhine from Basel to Lake Constance. Some of these approximately 520 negatives from the holdings of the State Archives of Basel-Stadt have now been digitized and assembled into an orthophoto.
