Digital map of the natural order of Saxony with designation of natural spatial units in the range of microgeochors. Note: The natural demarcation in the range of microgeochors is particularly important at regional level. For nationwide tasks, the division of areas by micro- and mesogeochores can be useful, e.g. for the delimitation of examination or processing rooms, but also in that case the nature conservation tasks may require a different delimitation. According to the natural order procedure, microgeochors were combined into natural space units of higher ranges (aggregated): In the first aggregation stage microgeochors to mesogeochors and in the second stage mesogeochors to macrogeochors. Complete catalogues of the 205 mesogeochors and 33 macro geochors of Saxony are available (final report of the SAW, status: 2000). Note: According to the natural order, aggregated macro geochors are not identical to the macrogeochors of the natural spatial structure (according to Bernhardt et al.) because the methodological preconditions of formation or derivation are different.
