Description
As part of the EU Interreg Alpine-Space project PermaNET, the probability of the occurrence of permafrost in the Bavarian Alps was modelled in 2011. Accordingly, permafrost exists on about 65 km2 in the subsoil of the Bavarian Alps. The probability of occurrence in the map presentation is divided into ‘low probable’, ‘moderately probable’ and ‘probable’.
