Description
The Act on State Survey and Real Estate Cadastre (OG 112/18, OG 39/22) stipulates that the State Geodetic Administration is responsible for establishing and maintaining the Register of Spatial Units.
The Register of Spatial Units is a record in which data on spatial units for which this is specified by the said Act or special regulations are kept and maintained. Data on the following spatial units shall be kept in the Register of Spatial Units: State, county, City of Zagreb, city, municipality, settlement, delivery area of the post office, local self-government unit, protected areas, cadastral municipality, statistical circle, census circle, street and square, building and associated house numbers and other spatial units for which this is defined by special regulations.
These data are entered in the Register of Spatial Units from the official documents of the bodies that make decisions and other acts in accordance with the regulations on settlements. Data from the Register of Spatial Units shall be used as an official basis for recording, collecting, expressing, exchanging and linking different types of spatial data.
