Species Map – Discovery of Species
Description
The data set contains localised information about species observed or found in Norway. The discovery data follows the Darwin Core Archive data standard (see http://rs.tdwg.org/dwc/ for details). The data set also contains information about the species’ Red List category (information whether the species is threatened or red-listed) and the alien species category (information on the species’ ecological risk).
The dataset is continuously updated and as of September 2016 contains over 23 million discoveries of 32200 different species.
