Environmental information generated for the study of the territory before and after the fire of La Granada de Rio Tinto, Zufre and El Castillo de las Guardas

Description

Obtaining a series of products for the generation of environmental information before and after the fire, in this sense the delimitation of the fire started on 09/09/2017 in La Granada de Riotinto, Zufre and the Castillo de las Guardas is generated on the satellite image PLEIADES 1B (resolution 0.5m) of 22/12/2017. From the images from the SENTINEL 2A satellite (31/07/2017 and 19/09/2017) calculate the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), which based on the contrast between the red and near-infrared bands of the spectrum, highlights vegetation cover and its vigorousness over large areas, and the calcination index (NBR-Normalized Burn Ratio) that compares the near-infrared and short-wave infrared bands 2 to determine the severity of calcination. Other products that are generated are the Digital Model of Normalized Height of Vegetation, Lithological and Edaphic Variables and Forest Variables: Density, Volume with bark and dry biomass. As for biomass calculations, information on the volume of wood and biomass of conifers in the area affected by the fire has been obtained from the digital information of the Forest Biomass Study of Andalusia. It includes information from the NDVI obtained from the 0.20 m orthophotograph of 2018 generated within the framework of the "Emergency Management Service - Risk Mapping and Recovery (EMS-RRM)" of the European Union Earth Observation Program "Copernicus".
