Description
The 11th On behalf of the Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief (BBK), the ZKI of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Stuttgart is showing possibilities of using different sensors for situational awareness support. On 28 and 29 June, both terrestrial and remote sensing-based data and information will be collected and visualized in near real time as part of a sensor network system. The aim of this study is to evaluate to what extent, e.g. in major events, situational awareness and decision support for crisis teams and emergency forces can be supported by the joint use of different sensor systems and recording platforms. The aerial image data were taken at an altitude of about 1700 meters above ground (flight stripes 1-2). This product was created within the framework contract “ZKI-DE” between the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI) and the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR).
