Elbe flood 1890 - expansion at 837 cm level Dresden
Description
The depictions of the areas flooded by floods of the Elbe (in today's urban area) illustrate the dimension of historical extreme events and allow comparative considerations with recent flood events. Furthermore, the flood risk of individual urban areas is clarified and this makes it possible to prepare measures for flood prevention and prevention as well as the self-preparedness required pursuant to Section 99(3) of the Saxon Water Act.
