Source mapping 2014: Buchstein Nord — Tamischbach, Mühlbach, Schindelgraben, Finstergraben
Description
This report covers the mapping of the sources in the area of the Buchstein Group Nordflanke. These springs are located outside the National Park, but most of them source their water from the high altitudes of the Buchstein, which lies within the national park.
The area under investigation includes the northern flank of the Buchstein Massif. 71 water points, 43 of which sources were located by GPS and examined with regard to water type, temperature and conductivity. From a number of small sources, only the collection outflows were recorded. The individual mapping areas are described in terms of location and geomorphology.
A number of sources are very promising from an ecological point of view. These include the extensive source horizons in the Mühlbachgraben and Tamischbach.
