Here you can find comparative information on sanctions for all the EU28 Member States on the basis of information collected from national and international databases. The data is available on e.g:
- Legal obligation to ensure that sanctions and measures are imposed by a court or if imposed by another legally recognised authority they are subject to prompt judicial review.
- Existence of mechanisms to ensure that sanctions are subject to judicial review;
- Legal obligation to make any form of deprivation of liberty of children a measure of last resort and for the shortest appropriate period of time;
- Existence of special protocols concerning recourse by personnel to physical restraint and use of force with respect to children deprived of liberty.
