Considerations when using nutrient inventories to prioritize water quality restoration/improvement efforts across the US
Description
The corresponding database integrates multiple streams of information to provide estimates of fluxes and surpluses across urban and agricultural domains as well as highlight areas where N and P are being managed inefficiently. This database gives decision makers a succinct platform to identify likely areas of water quality degradation. With this quantitative information to prioritize watersheds for restoration, decision makers can then engage with stakeholders to develop meaningful and effectual watershed restoration strategies.
