Municipality of Walferdange_Convention, 2023
Description
The Walfer Bicherdeeg (formerly “Luxembourg Book Day”) was born in 1995 at the initiative of the Walferdange Culture Commission and in collaboration with the authors Nic Weber, Lex Jacoby and Pol Pütz. The aim was to create an annual book market at the Prince Henri Centre, both for new titles and for second-hand works and antiques, accompanied by a reading program that should take place at the same time. The successful event quickly expanded and in 2002 the municipality began to welcome its public during a whole weekend at different sites in its territory.
