Digital Library - "Cinema 150 anni" Collection

Description

Collection of digital images reproducing some cinematographic posters kept at the Mediateca Regionale Pugliese. It was born following the event "Cinema 150 anni", an exhibition of original period posters of films that in the 50s of the twentieth century dealt with the theme of the Risorgimento. The exhibition, set up in the spaces of the Regional Media Library of Bari, was created in 2011 by the Cultural and Audiovisual Activities Office, belonging to the Culture and Entertainment Service of the Puglia Region, on the occasion of the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy. The collection, digitized to preserve and preserve the state of conservation of the present assets, takes shape from the desire to make available a small part of the more than 33,000 assets including posters, volumes, videotapes and audiovisual material, collected from 1980 to 2000 by the Cinema and Media Library Office of the Department of the Mediterranean, Culture and Tourism and today preserved at the Regional Media Library. The reproductions of the posters, graphically organized on special installations, were then exhibited in the cities of Lecce, Cavallino, Brindisi, Foggia, Barletta, Mola di Bari, Taranto, Bari Palese.
