The given map of the Special Protection Areas (SPAs) on the territory of the Metropolitan City of Turin.Delimitation of Special Protection Areas in application of the Birds Directive 2009/147/EC (ex 79/409/EEC) on the conservation of wild birds.The objective of the Directive, is the conservation of all species of birds naturally living in the wild, not only through the protection of populations but also by protecting their natural habitatsThe protection measures concern birds, eggs, nests and habitats of resident or migratory species that regularly station or transit in the identified areas.- The associated WMS (Web Map Service) reproduces the spatially georeferenced map with technical specifications defined by the OGC (Open Gis Consortium) and can be viewed through software tools or web viewers, using the appropriate url.
