School buildings (year 2014) - Metropolitan City of Florence
Description
Geographic database of schools registered in the Register of Schools of the Provincial School Office of Florence (excluding schools in the territory of the Union of Municipalities of the Empolese Valdelsa District). The database consists of: 1) a timely archive with the location of the accesses to the buildings that host the schools. Every single mechanographic code in the provincial list of kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools of the 1st degree and comprehensive schools, secondary schools of the 2nd degree has been located.2) an area archive with the identification of the buildings that host the schools. Each school building is described by one or more polygons to which are associated all the mechanographic codes corresponding to the courses hosted in the structure itself (from 1 up to a maximum of 7 codes). Only for the municipality of Florence are also identified some structures not equipped with mechanographic code such as kindergartens.
