Description
The Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) is the strategic document that aims to guide the city's mobility policies for the next 10 years.Both the interventions included in the reference scenario, and the interventions included in the project scenario, can be traced in the maps of the SUMP through a code that has been attributed to each intervention. The description of the operation associated with each code can be found in Annexes 1-2-3. The code is structured in such a way as to identify the intervention also on the basis of its territorial location (municipality) and on the basis of the mobility system to which it belongs (railway, roads, etc.). The drafting of the SUMP is based on a logic based on scenarios, aimed at verifying and comparing the effects of different possible strategies for the governance of mobility: the Reference Scenario (i.e. the interventions that can be carried out independently of the SUMP as they are already planned-programmed and already provided with financial coverage), the Plan Scenario (i.e. the infrastructural and non-infrastructural interventions, additional to the Reference Scenario that meet the general and specific objectives that the SUMP has set itself), the Evolutionary Scenario. The geographical data of the SUMP to be published refer to the three scenarios of the plan contained in the approved tables.The Metropolitan Council of Florence initiated the procedure for drawing up the metropolitan SUMP and verifying the SEA with Resolution No 121 of 19 December 2018 and with Resolution No 24 of the Metropolitan Council of 21 April 2021 definitively approved the Pums-Urban Sustainable Mobility Plan of the Metrocity.
