Data from the Metropolitan Bike Challenge 2021 Carroyage with number of trips per hexagonal cell.
Every year since 2013, the MEL organizes on its territory the Metropolitan Bike Challenge. [Find here data from previous years](https://opendata.lillemetropole.fr/explore/dataset/challenge-metropolitain-du-velo). The framing of the carroyage has evolved which explains this new dataset.
The challenge is an opportunity to motivate locals to practice cycling on a daily basis. This event is also an opportunity to collect data on the trips made by the participants.
Hexagonal carriage of 25 m by 25 m which counts in each cell the number of paths passing through this cell.
The carroyage makes it possible to draw [a heat map](https://opendata.lillemetropole.fr/api/datasets/1.0/challenge-meropolitain-velo/attachments/cartedechaleur_challengemetropolitainvelo2021_mel_pdf/) of the cycling practice of the participants in the 2021 challenge throughout May 2021.
