Description
The Danish Maritime Authority, in cooperation with the Swedish Transport Authority and the nautical chart authorities, has prepared a ship's route scheme (TSS - Traffic Separation Scheme) for Skagerrak and Kattegat, which aims to guide ship traffic along routes that guide and separate oncoming ship traffic better than is the case today, thereby making navigation more predictable. The route system has been adopted by the IMO and will enter into force on 1 July 2020, at the same time as new nautical charts are published with the new route system.
