National Cohort Research Education (NCO)
The NCO microdata files have been compiled by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) for the National Cohort Research Education (NCO). The NCO has been initiated and is funded by the National Education Research Agency (NRO). For these files, existing register data from the socio-statistical files (SSB) of Statistics Netherlands (CBS) and existing education registrations from the Basisregister Onderwijs (BRON) of the Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs (DUO) have been combined.
This file contains variable, or variable demographic, regional, income and educational data at person level, of (the parents of) all persons from all existing and supplemented Primary Education (PO) and Secondary Education (VO) backbone files.

### Methodology

### Population
The files contain the data of pupils who are or have been in (special) primary or secondary education, and thus appear in one of the backbone files.
