Characteristics of sewage treatment plants (from 01-01-2019)
Description
This database contains data from the public sewage treatment plants (rwzi's). The installations are managed and maintained by the water boards or water boards of the Netherlands. This file contains the main characteristics of the sewage treatment plants, such as type of treatment and types of various process steps. There are also indications for the location of the WWTP, such as province, water board and municipality.

### Methodology
Integrated survey among water quality managers in the Netherlands. The survey is conducted on behalf of a number of other bodies, including Rijkswaterstaat, RIVM and the partnership in the context of the Emission Registration. Mainly electronic survey. Reporters are all 23 regional water quality managers (water and treatment boards).These organizations manage approximately 340 rwzi's.
