Description
In order to gain insight into the work experience of employees in the public sector, the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK) has been conducting a large personnel survey every few years since 1999, the WORK survey (formerly called POMO). The primary goal is to get a good picture of the work experience of employees in the public sector, and the developments in it. The research provides guidance information on the labour market, labour market conditions and Human Resource Management (HRM) at sectoral and national level. Since 2019, the WORK survey has been carried out by Statistics Netherlands (CBS), with the starting point being that the survey should take place every three years.

### Methodology
The basis for the sampling frame consists of all persons working in the public sector, supplemented by those working in the market. When drawing the sample, it is taken into account that there will be sufficient responses per sector within the government. In addition, there is the desire to be able to make statements about managers and entrants per sector. The results are corrected by a weighting for non-response. The weighting also takes into account the fact that respondents are divided into two groups, each with a different route in the questionnaire. There are two possible routes, so for the variables that are only on one of those two routes, two different weights are also available.
### Population
Employees between the ages of 18 and 75 who belong to the public employment system, joint schemes, self-employed administrative bodies (ZBOs) and the market sector.
