Employers survey with information on employers in the care and welfare sector (02-11-2021 - 01-05-2022)

Description

The Employers Survey (WGE) collects information about employers in the care and welfare sector. This concerns information about the workforce, whether shortages are expected and how many vacancies there are. In addition, it is about the theme of education and skills, and healthy and safe working. The survey is conducted twice a year. A number of key questions are reflected in each measurement, other topics once a year or are determined per measurement. CBS is carrying out this study on behalf of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) for the Labour Market Care and Welfare research programme. In the AZW program, ten branches are distinguished. Due to the small number of companies in the UMC sector, this is counted in the Hospitals and other specialist medical care sector. This concerns companies that belong to the care and welfare sector. Whether they belong to this group is determined on the basis of the Standard Business Classification (SBI). A rotating panel has been put together for the study. Companies participate in the survey up to four times, which means that a group of companies stops per measurement and new companies are added every time. When drawing the sample, the ten branches are taken into account, for a number of branches they are so small that the companies in that branch are integrally included in the sample. The results are adjusted by a weighting for non-response and increased to the total number of companies in the care and welfare sector. Companies are not required to complete the questionnaire. In order to continue participating in the panel, it is allowed to skip a measurement. ### Population Employers in the care and welfare sector. This sector is defined on the basis of the Standard Business Classification (SBI), to the care and welfare sector are counted SBI 86, 87 and 88. Companies with size class 10 (1 employed person) are excluded.
