Social Domain Index: Data on persons involved in participation and self-reliance, and care and youth. (01-01-2021 - 01-01-2022)
Description
The aim of the Social Domain Index (SDI) study is to provide information about the social domain. The social domain is understood to mean the efforts that a municipality must make regarding work, participation and self-reliance, and care and youth. This concerns efforts based on the Social Support Act (Wmo) 2015, the Participation Act, the Youth Act and the Municipal Debt Assistance Act.
A number of decentralisations have taken place in the social domain and the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK) has linked a monitoring process to these decentralisations. The monitoring must inform the House of Representatives about the results achieved and provide the government with insight into the functioning of the system, so that it can be adjusted if the system does not lead to the correct results. The information based on SDI is used by the Social and Cultural Planning Bureau (SCP) to indicate to what extent the situation of citizens in the social domain is improving or deteriorating.

### Population
The target population consists of residents of the Netherlands aged 18 years or older. Persons in establishments, institutions or homes (the institutional population) are excluded. For the Youth Care, the target population is the legal parent of one or more minor children who use youth facilities.
