National Cohort Research Education with enrolment and diploma data of pupils in VAVO (from 01-09-2010)

Description

National Cohort Research Education (NCO) The NCO microdata files were compiled by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) for the National Cohort Research Education (NCO). The NCO has been initiated and is funded by the National Educational Research Agency (NRO). For these files, existing register data from the social-statistical files (SSB) of CBS and existing educational records of the Education Basic Register (BRON) of the Education Implementation Service (DUO) have been combined. This file contains the enrolment and diploma details of pupils in the Continued General AdultsOndewrwijs (VAVO). The year in the file name refers to the relevant school year YYYY/YYYY+ 1. The NCOVAVODEF files contain final enrolment data and preliminary diploma data. However, these preliminary diplomas are considered final. The NCOVAVOVRL file contains preliminary registration data and no diploma data. ### Population The files contain the data of pupils who have been in (special) primary or secondary education in previous years and thus appear in one of the backbone files. For the registrations, the pre- and post-registrations were also included and therefore not only the pupils who were enrolled in the vavo on 1 October. Excluded are pupils who follow the Vavo Education. (Education includes language, numeracy and digital skills courses.)
