The Employers’ Survey (WGE) collects information about employers in the healthcare and welfare sector. This concerns information about the workforce, whether shortages are expected and how many vacancies there are. In addition, it is about the theme and #039;s education and skills, and working healthy and safe. The study is carried out twice a year. A number of core questions come back in each measurement, other topics once a year or are determined per measurement. CBS carries out this research on behalf of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) for the research programme Labour Market Care and Welfare. In the AZW program, ten branches are distinguished. Due to the small number of companies in the UMC sector, it is counted in the Hospitals and other specialist medical care sector. This concerns companies that belong to the healthcare and welfare sector. Whether they belong to them is determined on the basis of the Standard Business Classification (SBI). A rotating panel has been put together for the study. Companies participate in the research up to four times, so a group of companies stops and new companies are added to each measurement. When drawing the sample, the ten branches are taken into account, while a number of branches are so small in size that the companies in that sector are fully included in the sample. The results are corrected by a weighting for non-response and increased to the total number of companies in the healthcare and welfare sector. Companies are not required to complete the questionnaire. In order to continue to participate in the panel, it is allowed to skip a measurement. ### Population Employers in the health and welfare sector. This sector is defined on the basis of the Standard Business Classification (SBI), SBI 86, 87 and 88 are included in the care and welfare sector. Companies with size class 10 (1 person employed) have not been taken into account.
