Description

This database contains quantitative and qualitative data on persons who have to pay payroll taxes. As of April 2016, the employees are not included. The data providers are withholding agents such as pension funds, benefit agencies and insurers that provide benefits. Until April 2016, employers were also data providers. The data relate to the period and amount of the benefit, pension and – until April 2016 – job. Employee data is available in the SSB files (S)POLISBUS and BETAB. The employee data is defined as srtiv&=17, see variable (R)SRTIV. The stocks are rough; no corrections and imputations have been added. Watch out! In many cases, the four-week declarants’ periods are in two separate months. The records of these four-week declarants are then recorded in both months. In the RP2 files, the amounts are not distributed proportionally over the months. The amount of, for example, RLNLBPH is therefore present in its entirety in both months. When processing these data, it is therefore necessary to correct the duration of the four-week declaration in a specific month. Every employer with employed employees is obliged to withhold wage tax, national insurance contributions, income-dependent contribution of the Health Insurance Act and employee insurance contributions. Other organisations that have to pay payroll tax or contributions, for example pension funds and benefit agencies, also have this obligation. These companies and organisations are called withholding agents. This file contains details of employees or beneficiaries who have been provided by the withholding agents.
