Workers dismissed as a result of bankruptcy (from 01-01-2015)

Description

The file represents employees who have been dismissed as a result of bankruptcy. In addition, the identification of the terminated job is included. In the Netherlands, dismissal can take place via several routes: immediate dismissal, dismissal through the subdistrict court, dismissal with mutual consent, dismissal following bankruptcy and dismissal on the basis of a dismissal permit from the UWV. The present file relates to dismissal following bankruptcy. After a court has declared bankruptcy over a company, a liquidator will act. The curator dismisses the employees. Information about the terminated job (IKVID and INDEBAANFAIL) has been added to the file. The IKVID and FINDEBAANFAIL fields can therefore be used to retrieve additional information about the finished runway from the SPOLISYYJJBUSVV. FAILONTTABVV (from 2015) is an improved successor to FAILONTSLAGJJJTABVV (1999 to 2016). The improvement concerns an improved delineation of jobs due to bankruptcy, inter alia through the use of data on bankruptcy benefits (payments by the UWV in connection with the wage guarantee scheme) More information on how to access the data: > https://www.cbs.nl/nl-nl/onze-diensten/maatwerk-en-microdata/microdata-zelf-onderzoek-doen ### Methodology Bankruptcy dismissal is not directly observed but indirectly derived by integrating data on bankrupt companies, job data and bankruptcy benefits data. See attached documentation. ### Population The population covers all employees made redundant as a result of bankruptcy in the period from 1-1-2015.
