Stock homes (residential register) (01-09-1992-01-01-2021)
Description
The final housing stock is determined on the basis of a housing register at address level. This register is updated annually with information collected by CBS at address level on: a. additions and removals of dwellings, residential units and recreational dwellings; b. stand as of 1 January on the capacity of the special residential buildings; c. municipal reclassifications and border corrections; d. changes in the address of the living spaces.

### Methodology
Written questionnaire and electronic collection for housing statistics. These are changes at address level. New construction (form W015), otherwise additions and withdrawals (form W055), changes in the address of the living areas (form W053) and summary list for the special residential buildings as of 1 January (form W065). Additional information is also collected on the houses, housing units, recreational homes and special residential buildings that have been transferred to the municipal reclassifications or border corrections.
### Population
a. dwellings (self-contained housing); b. residential units (living rooms with residential common facilities, such as student and nurse-sterflats); C. Recreational dwellings (housing areas for recreational purposes); D. Special residential buildings (housing areas intended for the housing of institutional households such as retirement homes, nursing homes and family replacement homes). The capacity of the special residential buildings is determined. The capacity can be defined as the total number of members of the institutional household that can or may be housed in the special residential building. This capacity is, for example, the number of beds in a retirement home, the number of pupils in a family replacement home and the number of cells in a prison.
