Number of jobs at a company or institution per branch (01-12-2006-01-12-2008)
Description
The datasets under this design contain data on the number of jobs in the month of December of year t of a business unit or establishment. For each business unit or branch, the branch municipality is also included, as well as the Standard Business Classification (SBI 93) and the size class as listed in the General Companies Register (ABR) of CBS.

### Methodology
The data on jobs come from the police administration. The jobs of employees in December were derived from the payroll tax numbers. The payroll tax numbers are linked to business units via the company identification number (beid) of the General Companies Register (ABR) of CBS. The localities for each area are taken from (a) the ABR (for one branch municipality) and (b) the regional employment survey (for multi-establishment municipalities).
The datasets may contain non-unique records. This is because the number of jobs of individual branches of a business unit is sometimes included per municipality, and sometimes the reputed number of jobs of several branches of a business unit. The business unit ID is therefore not yet a unique key in connection with the municipal code. Thus, it may happen that identical records appear in this file.
