Energy supply and consumption of companies and institutions in the Netherlands (01-01-2017 - 01-01-2021)
Description
This file contains energy balances per company and energy carrier or by industry, size class and energy carrier. The energy balance consists of balance sheet items that describe supply and consumption of energy. Supply includes extraction, supply, delivery and initial and final stock. Consumption involves commitment to production from conversion, consumption as raw material and final energy consumption. The sectors are functionally divided. It is institutionally based on the Standard Business Classification (SBI), but contains some functional specifications, such as decentralised electricity production.

### Methodology
The data comes from energy companies and energy customers in all sizes 0 to 9. Each surveyed company is asked for a physical balance of energy carriers. In addition, registrations are used. The data on companies are at the micro-level.
