Examination data of pupils in secondary education (from 01-09-2015)

Description

The file contains exam details of secondary school pupils (vo), such as the exam result, the training number and the educational institution’s code. As of school year 2006, average exam grades have been included in the component. In addition to the exam candidates (successful and rejected/failed pupils) there are also pupils who are still in a third period, have taken a spread exam or have only obtained a partial certificate. Of the following students, no exam information is known: — students within the International Baccalaureate. The CBS has no data on the examination results of the pupils within the International Baccalaureate, because they are not registered in the Netherlands; — students within the English Stream. The CBS has no data on the exam results of the students within the English Stroom, because they are not registered in the Netherlands; — pupils in the entrance training of VMBO, practical education (or other special education) and continuous learning line within the experiment. These students do not take a final exam. PLEASE NOTE: The reference year in the name of the stock indicates the year from the start of the relevant school year. For the exams of, for example, school year 2005/2006 this is & #039;2005 ' but these exams are often taken in May 2006. In school year 2019/'20, the central exams were cancelled due to COVID-19. Diplomas and #039;s were given based on results of school exams. Pupils were allowed to take a maximum of two result improvement tests, which counted 50 % for the final grade (unless the grade was lower than that of the school exam). Vmbo-b and vmbo-k were also allowed to make a result improvement test for their professional profile subject. The figures of any result improvement tests are included in the average figure. Information about which students have taken one or more result improvement tests is not known. In school year 2020/& #039;21, the school exam and the central exam continued. As in the regular year, students obtained the diploma based on the results of the central exam and school exam. The following measures applied: — It was possible not to include the final grade of one course in the determination of results. This should not be a core subject and only applies to pupils who were able to succeed as a result. The grade was shown on the diploma list. — There was an extra period. Exam candidates were allowed to spread the central exams over two periods. As a result, the students were given extra preparation time for the courses that had been postponed. — There was an additional possibility of resumption (two instead of one). A resumption could be made in the second and third periods. — The vocational profile course in the Vmbo was concluded with a school examination instead of a central written and practical examination.
