Traffic performance of buses (01-01-2015-01-01-2018)
Description
Traffic performance of buses with a Dutch registration number, expressed in vehicle-kilometres per year, broken down by vehicle characteristics and by territory. From the register of the National Autopas Foundation (NAP), the registration numbers of the total sample population are enriched with odometer readings and associated registration dates. Based on the differences between odometer readings of two consecutive registration dates, the kilometres travelled for the period between registration dates have been calculated. This calculates year kilometrages for all vehicles. These annual kilometrages are used to estimate, among other things, the traffic performance of buses.

### Methodology
Secondary observation using the registers of the Road Traffic Service (RDW)
### Population
All buses registered in the Netherlands with a valid Dutch registration and are admitted to traffic on public roads during (part of) the reporting year, including buses belonging to (part of) the company stock and buses operating only part of the year on the road network, mainly new or imported vehicles and vehicles demolished or exported during the year.
