Research Information and Communication Technology (ICT) contains data on the use of ICT in households and individuals (Verrind) (01-01-2016-01-01-2017)

Description

The rapid dissemination of information and communication technologies can have far-reaching consequences for the daily lives of citizens. Various ICT products have also been introduced in more and more Dutch households. The way we live, work, learn and spend free time is changing. The use of ICT affects, inter alia, labour market opportunities and teleworking opportunities, mobility issues, Internet commerce (electronic shopping), citizenship (digital decision-making and the use of public services) and training (life-long-learning). Due to differences in digital equipment and skills, both whole households and individuals in society could be left behind and excluded from important services and social contacts.
