The budget survey contains data on (consumer) spending by private households. (01-01-2015 - 02-01-2015)
Description
CBS collects data on private household spending in order to provide the fullest possible picture of household spending patterns in detail according to various background characteristics. This is to compile up-to-date and internationally comparable data on household (consumer) spending. Participants in the Budget survey record all expenditure on articles and services of EUR 20 and more for four weeks. During one of the four weeks they also record all expenditure on articles and services of less than EUR 20. The expenditure is recorded in an online household booklet. In addition, households complete a questionnaire on their fixed costs and a questionnaire with questions about the household. As of 2015, households fill in a questionnaire immediately after the end of the research year on very large expenditures and expenses and during holidays in the research year.

### Population
It concerns spending by private households. Households and persons in establishments, institutions and homes are not part of the population.
