Description

This microdata file has been compiled on the basis of the Statistics Finance of Small Enterprises (SFKO), based on the corporate tax return data of the tax administration, and data from Statistics Finance of Large Enterprises (SFGO) based on a direct survey. The criterion of whether an enterprise is large or small is determined by the balance sheet total. Small enterprises are companies with a balance sheet total of less than EUR 40 million, which was EUR 23 million for the years 2001 to 2010. For the period 1992-2000, this amounted to 25 million guilders. More information on how to access the data: > https://www.cbs.nl/nl-nl/onze-diensten/maatwerk-en-microdata/microdata-zelf-onderzoek-doen ### Methodology Each record contains balance sheet and outturn account data of the group of undertakings, if source SFGO, and therefore contains all information on the respective company. If the source is SFKO, multiple records can occur per group of companies. The non-response to the SFKO records shall be imputated with T-1 data, if possible. For the remaining non-response, a higher factor is determined per stratum (SBI aggregation). The non-response to the SFGO records shall be imputated with T-1/T-2/Stratum mean data. The determination of a height factor is therefore not applicable for SFGO records. Hence, in this file, all SFGO records get the “1” increase factor. The increase factors are not applied when only data from individual companies are taken into account. In order to obtain the overall picture of the population, the increase factors of the enterprises are applied only to all undertakings at the same time. ### Population The population consists of non-financial tax declarants, composed of the corporate tax return records of the tax administration and the non-financial corporate groups of the SFGO.
