This file contains data on educational participants from the Occupational Population Survey (EBB) outside education funded by the Ministries of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) and Economic Affairs (EZ), i.e. in so-called non-funded education. Of these participants information is included about the participants themselves and the education followed. More information on how to access the data: > https://www.cbs.nl/nl-nl/onze-diensten/maatwerk-en-microdata/microdata-zelf-onderzoek-doen ### Methodology Any EBB respondent aged 17 to 65 who declares to attend education and who does not appear in one of the registrations of the funded education (SLNBO=1) is considered a follower of non-funded education. For funded types of education that are not (yet) or not sufficiently represented in registrations, an estimate has also been made of the total number of participants based on the numbers in the educational statistics. From the group of respondents who indicated to attend education in the EEW but who did not appear in one of the registers and who met certain criteria per type of education, respondents were then assigned to the funded education.The participation rate of participants in the non-funded education compared to the total Dutch population can be determined using the variable SLNBO. ### Population Each record is a respondent of the Occupational Population Survey (EBB), aged 17 to 65. With the help of the variable SLNBO (code1), a selection can be made of the respondents who indicate to attend education and who do not appear in one of the registrations of the funded education. Weighted annual estimates can be made using the increase factor (variable annual weight).
