DPA uniqueness per year (01-01-1995 - 01-01-2012)
Description
In these GBA_Unicity files, all persons registered in the Municipal Basic Administration (GBA) are shown in which period(s) from 1995 they were present in the Netherlands and what time they were uniquely identifiable on the variables gender, date of birth and 4-digit postal code. The file therefore contains data on both birth/mortality, immigration/emigration and unique linkability. The files have been developed because for the linking of the LMR with the Municipal Basic Administration (GBA) no fully identifying pairing key is available, namely only the pairing key gender, date of birth and 4-digit postcode. For analyses in which people have to be followed for a certain period of time on hospital admissions, it is therefore important to know that all admissions that have taken place during this period could be uniquely linked to the GBA. Using the GBA_Unicity files, the investigator can select only those GBA individuals for the study, which are known to be uniquely linkable based on their pairing key during the study period. This ensures that almost all registered LMR recordings of these persons could be linked.These GBA_Unicity files are auxiliary files that are initially used in analyzing data from the National Medical Registration (LMR; Dutch Hospital Data, Utrecht).

All persons who at any time in the period 1995-2011 have been registered in the Municipal Basic Administration.
