GBA uniqueness complete (01-10-1994-17-01-2013)
Description
In these GBA_Unicity files, all persons registered in the Municipal Basic Administration (GBA) show in which period(s) from October 1994 they were present in the Netherlands and what time they were uniquely identifiable on the variables gender, date of birth and 4-digit postal code. The file thus contains data on both birth/death, immigration/emigration and whether/not unique linkability. The files were developed because for the connection of the LMR with the Municipal Basic Administration (GBA) there is no fully identifying link key available, namely only the torque key gender, date of birth and 4-digit zip code. For analyses in which people have to be monitored at hospital admissions for a certain period of time, it is therefore important to know that all recordings that took place during this period could be uniquely linked to the GBA. Using the GBA_Unicity files, the researcher can only select those GBA individuals for the study, who are known to be uniquely connectable based on their torque key during the study period. This ensures that almost all recorded LMR recordings of these persons can be linked.These GBA_Unicity files are auxiliary files that are initially used in analysing data from the National Medical Registration (LMR; Dutch Hospital Data, Utrecht).

All persons who have been registered in the Municipal Basic Administration at any time in the period 1995-2011.
