Description
A record in the microfile represents a granted environmental permit with activity building, for shortness in daily language use & Construction Permit ' called. In the Netherlands, the building permit was replaced by a comprehensive environmental permit with activity building as of 1 October 2010. A permit can be issued for one or more buildings at the same time. The data is collected by CBS via the survey form W011.

### Methodology
Written questionnaire and electronic collection. The statistics Granted building permits provide insight into the extent of the building permits granted for dwellings and other buildings: value, number of permits and number of properties involved. This provides insight into the expected production of buildings in the short term. The following data are recorded of the works: municipality, type of construction, industry for which the construction is intended, type of work (new construction or renovation), type of client, construction costs, content, surface area, construction time in workable days. For new homes, it is asked whether it is a rental or private home.
### Population
Building permits in all municipalities in the Netherlands. The lower limit is determined by the height of the building amount of the building permit. As of the 2002 reporting year, this lower limit is EUR 50 thousand (excluding VAT).
