Physical data on initial stocks, imports, production, consumption, export and closing stocks of petroleum commodities and petroleum products.

### Methodology
Integral observation of the target population. Each company is asked for a physical balance of petroleum raw materials and products. In the case of raw materials, this concerns oil flows in customs warehousing and inland, in the case of petroleum products, this is always the warehouse and the inland together. The breakdown by countries of import and export comes from the statistics on international trade in goods.
There is a special questionnaire for importers of crude oil. Figures on the extraction come from TNO, the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research.
