Description
This data design describes characteristics of regulated (road) vehicles in the Netherlands. This data comes from the annual file of the Road Traffic Service (RDW). The file contains technical characteristics and ownership information about passenger cars and #039;s present in the Netherlands, vans, mopeds, motorcycles, trucks, buses, tractors, special vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers.

### Methodology
Only persons who have been validated may use the file in connection with confidentiality.The dataset consists of vehicles from the RDW, reference date 1 January of the reporting year with Municipal Basic Data Administration (GBA). The primary key registration number and tax number are encrypted to RINKENTEKEN and RINPERSOON. As of 1-1-2011, the component contains data from:- passenger car and #039;s of natural and legal persons, both the active park and the operating stock and lost vehicles from the previous year (e.g. demolition and export). — For all other types of vehicles, the file contains only active vehicles (the active park) owned by natural persons.

Includes all vehicles subject to registration as registered with the Road Traffic Authority (RDW) in the Netherlands on reference date.Contains data of:- passenger cars and #039;s of natural and legal persons, both the active park and the operating stock and vehicles inoperative from the previous year (e.g. demolition and export). — For all other types of vehicles, the file contains only active vehicles (the active park) owned by natural persons.
